 Remember in school there was that one girl who was always the solos in choir, the lead in the school plays, and every teacher's favorite? Yeah, well that wasn't Meesh Harlow. In fact, nobody even knew the feisty blonde could act until she was on set of the movie, Casper, going over lines with her sister, Amanda Harlow, who starred in the film. Producers scooped up the youngster and at 11 years old she starred in her first film, My Girl. For the next 2 years, she steadily worked on 3 more films, before moving on to her short lived, fan favorite show, Freaks and Geeks. The show ended the next year and moved back home to Scottsdale, Arizona.
All was quite for Meesh, or so everyone thought. Sometime during the run of Freaks and Geeks, someone important somewhere, heard her singing. In 2002, at the age of 18 she released her first album, Careful. The next 3 years she focused solely on her music and in 2005 returned with a new album, Lulliby, a new show, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and 2 box office hits, Never Been Kissed and Fried Green Tomatoes. At 21, she had the perfect life. Or so everyone thought. In 2006, amid eating disorder rumors, Harlow was discovered by her sister doing drugs. She made the choice to enter rehab for cocaine addiction. Now clean and sober for almost 3 years, Meesh is a spokesperson for D.A.R.E and talks to students about how drugs affected her life and the lives of those around her.
